Local 2750 — Executive Board Election 2026

A Message to Our Fellow Crew Members

Fellow crew members,

This month begins the process of choosing the Executive Board that will lead Local 2750 through the next three years.

This election comes at an important time for our pilot group. We are in Section 6 negotiations for our next collective bargaining agreement. Atlas continues to change. The Air Atlanta investment presents new questions about the future of our flying and the importance of protecting our scope. The failures surrounding Amex have tested our crews and our contract. And the recent Training Center vote sent an unmistakable message about where this membership stands.

At the same time, Local 2750 is a very different organization from the one we inherited.

We have built the financial resources, professional staff, legal support, technology, committees, steward structure, member-support programs, bargaining expertise, and institutional experience necessary to represent more than 3,000 Atlas pilots.

And we have produced results.

Over the last several years, we have secured improvements involving retirement, scheduling, vacation, reserve protections, hotels, commuter travel, deadhead class of service, training, Open Time, GDO compensation, taxi pay, fertility treatment, and other areas of the contract. We have resolved grievances, won arbitrations, strengthened enforcement, and continued improving the infrastructure pilots rely upon every day.

That record also says something about how we have led this Local.

There Is a Time to Work Together — and a Time to Fight

One criticism you may hear is that we have been too willing to work with the Company. We understand why some pilots feel that way, particularly after what we have experienced recently.

But leadership cannot be driven by emotion. It has to be driven by strategy.

For more than three years, we maintained a working relationship with the Company while continuing to enforce our contract. During that period, we were able to secure a long list of improvements without waiting for the next CBA.

Could we have chosen confrontation as our starting position on every issue? Yes. But our objective has never been to demonstrate how angry we can become. Our objective is to produce results for Atlas pilots.

"There is a time to sit across the table and solve a problem. There is a time to negotiate. There is a time to file a grievance. There is a time to arbitrate. And there is a time to fight. What matters is recognizing when the circumstances have changed."

The AmexGBT transition has repeatedly failed our pilots. The membership overwhelmingly rejected the Training Center LOA after the Company failed to recognize what would be required to reach an acceptable agreement. As we move deeper into Section 6 bargaining, the Company is increasingly positioning itself around what it says it can afford rather than the value Atlas pilots create and what will be required to reach an acceptable CBA.

That requires a different level of pressure. This is not a change driven by anger. It is a change driven by circumstances and strategy.

Patience without a willingness to fight is weakness. Fighting without patience and strategy is just noise. Effective leadership requires knowing when to use both.

Experienced Leadership. New Expertise.

Our team combines experienced Executive Board members with people who have developed specialized expertise through years of doing the work of this Local.

Candidate for President
Yngve Paulsen
Boeing 747 Captain, Atlas Air · President, IBT Local 2750
Union Leadership & Bargaining

Yngve has served in elected Local 2750 leadership for approximately eight years, first as Vice President and then as President. His labor experience reaches back to his previous airline, where he served on a negotiating committee during bargaining for that pilot group's first CBA. At Atlas, he has been directly involved in bargaining, grievance strategy, mediation, arbitration, scope, and work-rule improvements.

Building Local 2750

Since Yngve took over, the Local has built professional offices and staff support, expanded its steward and committee structure, developed modern communications and technology, strengthened its financial position, and created broader direct support for pilots on the line.

Industry Advocacy

A professional pilot since 2000 and at Atlas since 2011, Yngve serves on the Board of the Coalition of Airline Pilots Associations. His training includes executive negotiation programs through Harvard Law School's Program on Negotiation and interest-based bargaining training through the National Mediation Board.

Candidate for Vice President
Keith Carbine
Boeing 747 Captain, Atlas Air · Executive Board Trustee, IBT Local 2750
Technology & Member Services

Keith has been central to building Local 2750's technology infrastructure — servers, member database, public and members-only websites, and tools supporting grievance tracking, flight-pay-loss calculations, mentor assignments, Crew Desk management, and vacancy awards. He and Jason Brooks have led development of the Local 2750 mobile app, putting communications and member resources directly into pilots' hands.

Negotiations & Member Defense

Keith served on the Negotiating Committee and developed a costing model used to evaluate proposals against Company data across multiple years. He also developed software used in the Atlas/Southern integrated seniority-list process. He currently oversees committees whose work touches some of the most sensitive issues pilots face.

Background

Before Atlas, Keith flew corporate aircraft under Parts 91 and 135 and served as a Director of Operations and Chief Pilot for a Part 135 certificate. He also has substantial business and management experience, including healthcare operations and large-scale systems development.

Candidate for Secretary-Treasurer
Robert Brevoort
Atlas Air First Officer · Financial Adviser to the Negotiating Committee
Financial Expertise for Bargaining

Robert provides financial analysis and support to the Negotiating Committee as the Local evaluates Company financial claims and develops the economic side of the next CBA. He built an independent costing model using individual monthly pilot-pay data to evaluate proposed changes to pay and work rules, and reviews Company costing assumptions and Atlas financial information.

Professional Finance Background

Before becoming a professional pilot, Robert spent approximately a decade in finance, accounting, operations, and business leadership. At Deere & Company, his work included internal controls, cost accounting, corporate treasury, and management of a $5 billion money-market portfolio. At Eastman Chemical, he worked in corporate financial planning and analysis, capital allocation, and P&L management.

Education

Robert holds a BBA in Finance and Accounting from North Carolina State University and an MBA from Indiana University. His background includes auditing, internal controls, forecasting, DCF analysis, contract negotiations, and financial modeling.

Candidate for Recording Secretary
Matt Southard
Atlas Air First Officer · Union Steward · Mentor Committee Chairman
Contract Enforcement & Scheduling

Elected by the pilot group in 2024 to begin serving as a Steward in 2025, Matt has represented members and pursued contractual remedies through the grievance process. He also serves as the Scheduling Committee's TFDO subject-matter expert, has audited every awarded TFDO trip since November 2025, and has filed monthly grievances involving pay protection and loss of value — more than 80 grievances on behalf of the pilot group during roughly the past year and a half.

Mentoring & Leadership Development

Matt has served as a mentor since 2022 and now chairs the Mentor Committee. He and his team have restructured the mentoring program around active, accountable mentors trained to support new hires through their first year at Atlas — foundational guidance on the CBA, bidding, schedules, vacations, and Union resources.

Candidate for Trustee
Brian Fuentes
Atlas Air Pilot · Recording Secretary, IBT Local 2750
Scheduling & Contract Administration

Scheduling has remained Brian's principal area of Union work because it directly affects pilot pay, predictability, and time away from home. As Recording Secretary, he has been responsible for meeting minutes, motions, and bylaw-related recordkeeping, as well as grievance hearings and contract-administration issues across the Local.

Grievances & Arbitration

Brian has helped draft more than 30 Letters of Clarification, negotiated grievance settlements in cases otherwise headed toward arbitration, and supported arbitration work as a System Board member. He has been involved in onboarding the Local's first paralegal, improving internal grievance support to make the process more efficient and consistent.

Candidate for Trustee
Jason Brooks
Boeing 777 Captain / Simulator Instructor, Atlas Air · Lead Steward — Discipline · IT Committee Chairman
Member Defense

Jason became involved in Union work around 2019 and later became Lead Steward on the discipline side. He has helped represent more than 100 crew members through discipline matters — cases that can involve some of the most difficult and consequential moments of a pilot's career. His approach: crew members come first, and they receive the representation the contract provides.

Technology

Jason chairs the IT Committee and oversees the team responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Local's technology infrastructure. He and Keith Carbine have led development of the Local 2750 mobile app. Current member tools include Crew Members Nearby, offline grievance filing, offline surveys, and the SOS function.

Trustee Accountability

Jason is particularly interested in the oversight responsibilities of the Trustee office — reviewing the Local's books each month and reporting findings at regular membership meetings. He also wants members to have easier access to financial reports through the app alongside grievance and contract resources.

Candidate for Trustee
Greg Longie
Boeing 747 Captain / Line Check Airman, Atlas Air · Executive Board Trustee, IBT Local 2750
Travel & Hotels / AmexGBT

Greg started his Local 2750 involvement as Chairman of the Hotel & Travel Committee. After being elected Trustee, he remained involved as the committee's Executive Board liaison. The move to Amex created a major increase in travel problems, and the committee grew from roughly seven volunteers to nearly seventy as the Union worked through the workload. Amex remains unfinished business — and Greg intends to finish it.

Crew Desk & Member Support

Greg has been working to bring Travel & Hotels and the Crew Desk closer together — giving pilots a better place to turn when they need help on the road while giving the Union a clearer picture of recurring problems that need to be addressed with the Company.

Executive Board Portfolio

Greg currently serves as Executive Board liaison to Travel & Hotels, Jumpseat/KCM/Dependent Travel, Security, Professional Standards, Training, Uniforms, and the Crew Desk. He also serves on the Pilot Hiring Committee.

The Foundation Is Built. Now It Has to Be Used.

Secure the Next CBA

Bring the preparation, financial analysis, bargaining experience, membership involvement, and pressure necessary to pursue the strongest agreement possible.

Protect Atlas Pilot Work

Strengthen scope, enforce the protections we already have, and continue building the international relationships necessary as Atlas and its affiliates evolve.

Put Pilots First

Continue improving the things pilots actually experience — schedules, hotels, travel, training, contract enforcement, pay protection, and time away from their families.

Build a Stronger Local

Continue developing stewards, committee leaders, member-support programs, technology, legal and professional resources, and future elected leaders.

Prepare for Atlas's Future

The airline will continue changing. Our Union must be prepared to change with it without surrendering the protections our pilots have built.

"There is significant unfinished work in front of us. We believe the combination of experience already on this team, new expertise coming onto the Executive Board, and the organization we have spent years building gives Local 2750 what it needs for the next chapter."
